In a climate of abounding economic change, there are a few things to remember:
**You can focus on the negative stories and outlooks expressed in the media or focus on the realities of your personal situation.
**Is your situation bleak? Are you doing well or somewhere in-between?
**Do you have the potential to do better than you are currently? Yes, we all do.
**You don’t have to ascribe and conform to the ideas of those focused on doom and gloom.
**As we near another end of year holiday season, you will see that holiday and other spending has not come to a stop. The economy is better than you might think and you contribute to it.
**In my opinion, it’s a time to be AWARE of where we stand financially and make sure we’re headed in a direction of our choosing (by making smart, informed choices).
Banks and Loan Institutions would go out of business (or lots of employees would lose their jobs) if they stopped making loans. So, loans are still being made and they are far from impossible to obtain.
I repeat: It’s a great time for BUYERS. Lots of inventory and room for negotiations & concessions on home purchases. Just make sure you are on top of things (credit, saving, spending, earning).
While it may be more challenging for some SELLERS right now, the same factors that always encourage a sale are all the more important now:
**Condition of Property (and how it shows), Price and Location.
